Why I went to Disney as an adult solo and you should too.... I know the Native Orlandians will probably dispute some of my faves!! Who cares. No one lol
So I have 8 siblings, 2 mothers and 2 dads! No not what you’re thinking. No sister wives here. So with that many siblings you can imagine how many times I have taken a road trip to Disney. There road trips included mini vans and church music. I hated it and I hated Disney. So I took a business class flight to Orlando. I know I know but I needed a first class experience to Orlando.
Ok here’s my Top 5 reasons you should take a solo trip to Disney as well. Especially if your childhood was anything like mines.
1. The mother freaking fireworks show. I swear to God we must have worn my parents out because we were in that park and out that park with the quickness. I’ve never seen that park at night as a kid. So as an adult I wanted to see it and I enjoyed it tremendously! I almost lost my manly man cool when Tinkerbell came out in the air! I was impressed. I may have screamed like a high school girl/boy!
2. I wanted a real souvenir. As a kid it was my dad saying “hey hey boy you better save that cup with Disney on it for memories” I mean I didn’t want a Mickey hat with ears because the hood wouldn’t be kind to that lol. As an adult I bought myself some Mickey ears and some other stuff. I didn’t have to hear the don’t touch it, don’t think about it and the answer is no speech from my Dad but enforced by my mom lol. I think I bought about $300 worth of souvenirs and at Disney that’s about 3 items in total.
3. I wanted to eat inside the park! Not in the parking lot with soggy sandwiches and sodas. I bought 4 of those huge turkey legs. I don’t know why but I did! I ate 1 and a half. They were alright but I needed Grandma to put that seasoning on those legs lol. But it was a cool experience lol
4. I heard Epcot had some adult beverages. So I had to go check it out for myself. I was doing the wobble, electric slide and my own version of the 2 step
5. I wanted to see all the single hot mothers but I quickly realized. I look like the creep in Disney with no kids. So I hopped on that Ferry, hop in my rental and went and found some adult fun!
